Unfolding of Matodrape shoulder set
Open the outer packaging in accordance with the principles of asepsis and place the set on the instrument table. Unfold the outer drape on the instrument table and place set elements on it.
Apply the Mayo table cover.
Lift up the upper limb undergoing the medical procedure using the towels provided with the set and place the support drape under the limb.
Slide the cover on the patient's upper limb at a height below the shoulder joint.
Fix the cover using the provided medical tapes.
Before starting to drape the patient (determination of the surgical field), pay attention to the direction in which the drape is unfolded with the help of the pictograms on the drape.
Place the drape with a U-shaped cut under the patient's shoulder.
Unfold the lower part of the drape towards the lower edge of the operating table, thus protecting the patient's lower limbs.
Remove the release paper from the short piece of adhesive tape and stick it firmly under the patient's armpit.
Remove the remaining release paper and stick the drape around the shoulder carefully towards the patient's head, thus delimiting the side boundaries of the operating field. Press down on the drape adhesion site to increase the adhesion of the adhesive tape to the patient's skin.
Remove the protective tape from the top drape and stick it, thus creating the upper border of the operating field. Press down on the drape adhesion site. Unfold the drape in the direction of the arrows (towards the anaesthesia screen). Pass the drape over the frame to create an anaesthesia screen.
