Unfolding of Matodrape craniotomy set
Open the outer packaging in accordance with the principles of asepsis and place the set on the instrument table. Unfold the outer drape on the instrument table and place set elements on it.
Apply the Mayo table cover.
Before draping the patient (delimiting the surgical field), pay attention to the direction in which the drape is to be unfolded with the help of the pictograms.
Unfold the sides of the drape over the patient's head in 2 people so that they hang freely from the operating table, ...
... then remove the release paper securing the surgical film from the opening of the main drape ...
... and adhere the cover, thus defining the operational field.
Unfold the lower part of the drape towards the lower end of the operating table, draping the patient's lower limbs.
Then press the surgical film to the place where the adhesive is applied to increase the adhesion to the patient's skin. Unfold the upper part of the drape. Adjust the opening in the liquid collection pouch.
On the right and left of the operating field, adhere an additional reinforcement in form of drapes with adhesive tapes, previously removing the release paper.
Attach a film pouch to the side of the drape to allow it to accumulate dripping fluids from the surgical wound.
Stick the adhesive velcro tapes at the top of the drape to organise cables used during the procedure.
Finally, connect the drain to the valve in the fluid pouch.
