Monofilament hernia mesh Optomesh™

Non-resorbable surgical hernia meshes are made of monofilament polypropylene yarn. They belong to the group of ‘light’ meshes i.e. with the minimum of implanted synthetic material. They are characterised by high mechanical endurance, good fixing and multidirectional shape memory, low surface weight, no edge fraying and endurance to suture plucking during close-to-edge suturing. Appropriate size of pores enables easy piercing with a needle, but most of all, it enables quick connective tissue in-growth, and also shortens the healing-in time without excessive scar formation. Monofilament structure minimises the risk of bacterial infection.

Recommended in reconstruction of the soft tissue defects in the following cases:

  • primary and recurrent hernias
  • postoperative hernias
  • femoral hernias
  • inguinal hernias
  • periumbilical hernias

Types:

  • Macropore – mesh with big pores,
  • Thinlight – mesh with standard surface of pores
  • sterile (sterilised with ethylene oxide)

Size and packing:

  • from 50 mm x 60 mm to 300 mm x 300 mm
  • packaged in a double paper-film pouch and then in a cardboard envelope by 1 pc
